This is a role for a Senior Medical Writer working for one of the best known MedEd companies around and is based at the company’s offices in Oxford.
The main role of the Senior Medical Writer is to provide writing services and management of the writing team to the Scientific Services Department and work on ongoing projects such as the production of transcripts from external meetings; writing copy for meeting-related invitations; collating and editing copy for meeting-related program and abstract books; preparing speaker/author briefs and liaising with speakers/authors to ensure that they are happy with their brief; reviewing slide presentations/manuscripts to ensure that they fulfil the brief; contacting key opinion leaders to request or chase materials for meeting-related or editorial-only projects. You will also be involved in writing tasks such as minutes from advisory board meetings; meeting highlights reports; journal supplements; slide kits; video scripts; web site content etc.
For this position you will requireat least 4-5 years’ experience of medical writing for a healthcare communications / medical education agency, have a BSc in life sciences and ideally a master’s degree or PhD.
