Our client is an expanding independent medical communications agency based in Central London.
Working as part of a team, you will be responsible for the creation of high quality medical education materials, such as journal manuscripts, marketing communications (e.g. newsletters, product monographs), meetings-related materials (e.g. abstracts, slides) and new media (e.g. inter/intranet sites). You will ensure that medical copy is scientifically accurate, clear and appropriate to the target audience as well as ensuring that medical copy is produced in accordance with the clients preferred style and that it meets the communication objectives of the client. As well as keenly honed writing skills you should also be able monitor both your own and colleagues work for quality control. This would include checking for accuracy, consistency and readability, as well as checking references to ensure their accuracy and validity and adapting manuscripts to journal requirements. You will be expected to liaise with both internal and client contacts as appropriate to enable the best possible level of service on your accounts.
Previous agency experience or equivalent knowledge is required as is a life-science degree and ideally further life-science education. As the company positions itself as a boutique agency delivering high quality with a personal service mentality, the ideal candidate will have a skill set to match. You will work on a diversity of projects over a broad range of therapy areas although previous experience of working on global accounts would be an advantage.
