A superb opportunity has arisen for an Editorial Assistant to join a highly successful and market driven healthcare communications agency, based in Amersham: they have had a good 2020 with a number of new business wins already! Our client prides itself on the quality of the work that it produces based on developing a real understanding of a brand’s priorities and how it translates into the medical education industry. The agency’s core offerings are based in medical communications disciplines such as KOL development, advisory boards, symposia and satellite symposia planning and management, healthcare media relations, stand alone publications and a variety of bespoke, print and production projects.
Editorial Assistants are their most junior team members and can sometimes be straight out of collage from a second degree, although some experience is preferable. The core of the role is compliance management of materials such as slides, speaker briefs, materials to promote meetings etc. The successful candidate will be someone who is well versed in referencing scientific materials and using PowerPoint, preferably with hands-on experience of Zinc and other compliance software. In addition to you own editorial responsibilities their editors also provide a second line of quality control for their senior editorial staff.
The ideal candidate will have a life science degree or similar science education; probably a second degree and possibly a PhD. You should have excellent attention to detail, a sharp eye for layout and content, and live in fairly close proximity to Amersham in light of the long-term commuting probability.
