Our client is a full service healthcare communications agency situated in South-West London. They aim to provide the highest quality strategic advice and implementation for their clients in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors
They are looking for an experienced digital guru to assist their PR team to provide opportunities for their pharma clients to excel in the social networking arena. The role will be to provide credible insight and solutions to clients and account teams by maintaining up-to-date knowledge on digital channels, mainly encompassing social media. In conjunction with Head of Digital for you will engage and up-skill members of the agency’s PR team to talk credibly about digital solutions, so you will require strong communication and listening skills in order to provide consultancy to clients, and direction to account teams. This will require effective planning including but not inclusive of: digital strategy for clients; account resource; own workload; involvement of senior team members in accounts. You will be responsible for coaching team members to ensure individuals perform roles required on each account and deliver excellence, whilst building and nurturing relationships with clients and other stakeholders. You should be used to providing creativity in client work, new business, problem solving and internal initiatives.
This newly-created role has a number of elements; acting as a bridge-builder between the agency’s new Head of Digital and the agency team to enable the Head of Digital to fulfil responsibilities; working with the Head of Digital, ensure all team members are digital-literate and able to spot opportunities for adding value to clients and revenue growth, thereby maximising digital revenue streams for the agency. It is anticipated that this role will be 60% billable, with the client work being on programmes with a digital focus. You will be expected to provide credible insight and solutions to clients and account teams; attend client meetings (outside your portfolio) and new business meetings, as required, to bring additional digital expertise; actively seek training/ networking events that will add value to this role and the agency generally; work with the Head of Digital to ensure all team members are digital-literate and able to spot opportunities for adding value to clients and revenue growth; oversee the agency’s own Twitter feed, and work to maintain website content
Because this role is working within the healthcare communications arena, you should be able to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of relevant Code of Practice, e.g. ABPI/ EFPIA/ PAGB, attend six-monthly training sessions and gain client trust in all things code-related, and also maintain a good knowledge of the Health Collective Network and proactively spot opportunities for client referrals – those working on international business may have other responsibilities, relating to the Health Collective Network.
