An integrated healthcare communications agency based in Thames Ditton is looking for a PR Account Manager, conditioned in the art of client facing dexterity, to join its diverse team. This is a truly multi-disciplined operation that’s now part of a global communications group, and brings together all of the strands of client requirements under one roof, from MedEd to PR, through advertising and digital media.
The successful candidate need s to have extensive experience of writing press releases and developing patient materials, as well as project, financial and event management; be highly skilled in patient PR and communications, stakeholder engagement, brand and internal communications, disease awareness programmes, market access and media relations; be confident of leading client or project-related meetings, overseeing the creation of accurate contact reports and addressing any actions required to meet client deadlines; be able to instigate and lead brainstorms to develop the strategic, tactical and creative direction of accounts; intimately understand client products, therapy areas, portfolio and commercial strategyand assist with the preparation of proposals and cost estimates; providing information for pitches and additional business opportunities.
Key skills we are looking for are proficiency in writing and editing documents; strong presentation, organisational and facilitation skills; the ability to develop proposals for prospective and existing clients and an excellent understanding and commercial awareness of marketing and patient communications within the healthcare sector.
We are looking for a confident self starter, comfortable working on their own and with others to achieve demanding goals, somebody with persistence, resilience and commitment to success over an extended period. It’s likely that you’ll already be an account handler with a healthcare communications agency, with around 2-3 years’ experience of handling pharmaceutical brands. You should have an appropriate degree, such as Public Relations & Media Studies.
