    Account Director - Healthcare Communications

    An integrated healthcare communications agency based in Thames Ditton is looking for an Account Director who’s well versed in the art of client facing responsibilities to join its top class team. This is a truly multi-disciplined agency that brings together all of the strands of client requirements under one roof, from Med-Ed to PR, through Advertising and Digital.

    You will lead and motivate an account team to fulfil their potential and assume roles and responsibilities appropriate to their position; lead client or project-related meetings – overseeing the creation of accurate contact reports and address any actions to client deadlines; lead internal project meetings, and ensure the account team is briefed and on top of all project requirements; make recommendations to the senior client team on project resourcing and staffing requirements and establish and reinforce relationships with key client personnel, primarily marketing, medical, regulatory and procurement teams.

    The key skills we are looking for are an understanding of local, European and Global pharmaceutical regulations; good knowledge of the healthcare industry, environment, economics and the NHS. You should have proficiency in writing and editing documents; strong presentation and facilitation skills; the ability to learn and apply business development skills; the aability to brief, manage and monitor freelance writers and freelance creative and the ability to develop proposals for prospective and existing clients.

    The person we are looking for must be an experienced Senior Account handler with at least 5-years’ track record within the MedEd arena. You will be a graduate but not necessarily with a life-science degree and have account management/marketing experience.
