A superb opportunity has arisen for an experienced Account Director to join a highly respected and market driven healthcare communications agency, based in Amersham. Our client prides itself on the quality of the work that it produces based on developing a real understanding of a brand’s priorities and how it translates into the medical education industry. The agency’s core offerings are based in medical communications disciplines such as KOL development, advisory boards, symposia and satellite symposia planning and management, healthcare media relations, stand alone publications and a variety of bespoke, print and production projects.
As an Account Director you will work in an experienced healthcare comms team dedicated to all aspects of defined clients’ programmes and projects; deliver projects as agreed with clients’ financial, timelines, and quality targets; take on an account team role for allocated projects where appropriate; liaise with key client / opinion leaders daily. You’ll also be responsible for identifying and developing new business development opportunities and managing and maintaining all projects from initial proposal through brief, pitch and to completion.
The agency’s priority is to build a team of ambitious individuals who understand what medical education can offer and who have a passion to successfully deliver this. They’ll also be individuals who are keen to grow at a MedEd agency that is going through a period of growth, but ultimately one that will remain relatively small to ensure it continues to deliver a client service offering that has secured long-term relationships with an impressive client base.
The successful candidate will have a life science degree or similar science education such as a PhD, a working understanding of pharmaceutical communications, branding and advertising processes and implementation and preferably with solid experience of working within a MedComms Agency. You may be an Account Manager/Senior Account Manager looking for stretch within a small, dynamic agency.
